Boaz Aharonovitch

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1970, Aharonovitch currently lives and works in Tel-Aviv. He received his B.F.A. in photography from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem in 2002. He graduated from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design MFA program in 2005.

Aharonovitch's work has been showcased in solo and group exhibitions including the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art, Tel-Aviv; The Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Haifa Museum of Art, Haifa; Petach Tikva Museum of Art; Bass Museum of Art, Miami; Cafa Art Museum, Beijing; and ‘Istanbull Bianalle of Art’, Istanbul.
Aharonovitch has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions, amongst them are The Young Artist Award, The Israeli Ministry of Education and Culture, The Rich Foundation Award, The Sharett Scholarship, America – Israel Cultural Foundation, and Excellence Award, Bezalel Academy, Jerusalem.

Aharonovitch's works are kept in collections worldwide including the The Tel Aviv Museum for Contemporary Art Collection (Israel); The Israel Museum, Jerusalem(Israel); The Haifa Museum of Art for Contemporary Art Collection (Israel); Israel’s parliament collection (Israel); Shpilman Institute for photography; and numerous private collections.
